На прошедшей на днях в Берлине выставке бытовой техники и электроники IFA 2013 компания Sony Mobile, как и ожидалось , представила свой обновленный флагманский смартфон, вошедший в серию топовых мобильных устройств компании, объединенных под общим названием Sony Xperia Z. Новинка получила имя Xperia Z1, что недвусмысленно дает понять, кому именно на смену приходит данное устройство. В начале года японцы подарили миру топовый смартфон Xperia Z , который мгновенно приобрел широкую известность благодаря своему затейливому дизайну. «Xperia Z сконструирован с применением высококлассных материалов и впервые представляет новую дизайн-концепцию OmniBalance со слегка закругленными краями и гладкими отражающими поверхностями со всех сторон», — так описывали разработчики свое «стеклянное» детище. Сегодня на смену стеклу пришел металл.
Именно так: у новой «зэтки» боковые грани теперь вовсе не зеркальные, а матовые металлические, и не плоские, а выпуклые и закругленные — с таким дизайном мы столкнулись совсем недавно при знакомстве с соседкой по линейке — моделью Xperia Z Ultra . Таким образом, не прошло и года, как на смену «зеркальным» братьям смартфону Sony Xperia Z и планшету Xperia Tablet Z пришли «металлические» планшетофон Xperia Z Ultra и герой сегодняшнего обзора, Xperia Z1.
Две последние новинки роднит, кстати, не только очень близкий дизайн, но и одинаковая аппаратная платформа: сердцем обеих стала новейшая SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 с 4 ядрами, работающими на частоте более 2 ГГц. Поэтому, вполне ожидаемо, новый флагман японцев продемонстрировал столь высокую производительность, что ей мог бы позавидовать любой мощный смартфон современности, включая корейский Samsung Galaxy S4 и тайваньский HTC One.

Внешний вид и удобство использования
В принципе, читатели, следящие за тем, что происходит на рынке мобильных устройств, прекрасно понимают, о чем идет речь, когда разговор заходит о необычности дизайна оригинального смартфона Xperia Z. Там, согласно дизайн-концепции OmniBalance, в рамку из шершавого на ощупь композитного материала были со всех сторон впаяны плоские панельки, которые действительно имели зеркальные свойства, хотя часть из них была выполнена не из стекла (речь идет о боковых гранях). Примерно такой же образ был воссоздан и в облике новинок Xperia Z1 и Z Ultra, только теперь все это полностью сформовано из настоящего металла, и зеркальных свойств, естественно, не имеет. То есть, имеется, как бы, и рамка, и плоские панельки, но вырезано это все методом фрезерования из цельного куска алюминия. Этот металлический ободок, кстати, по совместительству исполняет еще и роль антенны. Этапы процесса обработки данной металлической детали, включающего, кстати, и двойное анодирование алюминия, наглядно демонстрировались во время презентации на отдельном стенде.
Презентация, к слову, проходила не на территории самой выставки IFA, а в огромном торгово-выставочном комплексе, выстроенном японцами в самом центре Берлина, и получившем звучное, хотя и не очень скромное название «Sony-центр». На всех туристических картах этот комплекс так и обозначен, и любой берлинский таксист довезет вас туда безо всякого навигатора. Это очень заметное и популярное место развлечения в столице Германии, к тому же, достаточно красивое. Вот так оно выглядит с высоты того этажа, где проходила презентация новинки.

Рассказывая о дизайне нового Sony Xperia Z1, хочется отметить, что смартфон, как и его собрат Xperia Z Ultra, стал выглядеть более выигрышно за счет своих, отливающих матовым металлическим блеском, боковин. Вид получился более серьезным, монументальным, да и на ощупь выпуклый шершавый обод стал куда приятнее. Это все дело вкуса, конечно, однако, объективно, немаркие матовые боковые грани куда практичнее зеркальных стеклянных. Здесь теперь и отпечатков не видно, и в пальцах корпус не так скользит. Остались, конечно, стеклянные маркие панели спереди и сзади, но тут уж ничего не поделаешь, красота требует жертв. Точно такие же передние и задние панельки из закаленного стекла, закованные в металлический матовых обод, покорили в свое время сердца приверженцев Apple iPhone (речь идет о 4-м поколении смартфона).

Смартфон получился очень крупным: по габаритам своим он с полным правом может называться «лопатой», как сейчас принято именовать обладателей крупной диагонали. Здесь диагональ экрана составляет целых пять дюймов, при этом рамки вокруг экрана не сказать, что тонкие: и по бокам-то достаточно заметны, а снизу, так вообще, оставили почти два сантиметра пустого пространства под экраном. И это при том, что все кнопки здесь виртуальные, и располагаются они на самом дисплее в виде программных иконок, которые также, в свою очередь, отъедают немало полезной площади у самого экрана. В любом случае, видели мы уже и более тонкие рамки (у того же ZTE Nubia Z5, например), а здесь корпус действительно изящным не назовешь — смартфон очень крупный. К тому же, он еще и весьма увесистый: целых 170 граммов составляет масса этой конструкции из стекла и металла.

Корпус монолитный: никаких съемных деталей здесь нет, стеклянные передняя и задняя панели составляют единое целое с металлом боковой рамки. Из такого строения вытекает и соответствующий способ установки карточек: SIM-карта и карта памяти вставляются в щелевидные боковые слоты по обеим боковым граням. Как и положено, слот под MicroSD-карту оборудован подпружиненным механизмом захвата, выпихивающим карточку при повторном нажатии; SIM-карта въезжает в свой разъем на хлипком пластмассовом подносике точно так же, как и других современных моделей Sony. Все манипуляции осуществляются с помощью собственных ногтей — никаких скрепок-ключиков здесь использовать не придется.
Слоты прикрыты снаружи защитными крышечками, внешне выполненными подстать остальному металлическому ободку — замаскированы хорошо, в глаза не бросаются. Крышки выполняют не только декоративные, но и защитные функции: модель Xperia Z1, как и ее предшественники, также имеет официальную сертификацию на соответствие стандартам защиты от пыли и влаги IP55 и IP58.
Крышек здесь много, целых три штуки, однако не все разъемы они теперь закрывают: согласно новым веяниям моды, и благодаря не стоящему на месте техническому прогрессу, аудиовыход теперь ничем не закрывается от воды — отверстие зияет пустотой, однако, вода теперь не сможет нанести внутренним контактам никакого урона.
Есть на боковых гранях устройства и еще несколько примечательных деталей. Во-первых, именно на нижнюю боковую грань, а не на заднюю панель, выведена теперь решетка динамика, что не может не радовать. Крупная решетка покрывает собой почти весь нижний торец, так что перекрыть звук здесь практически невозможно.
Во-вторых, здесь на боковой грани имеется открытая контактная группа для соединения с разъемом док-станции — такой элемент встречается у многих последних мобильных творений Sony, и это тоже прекрасно, ибо экономит нервы владельцев, не желающих каждый день открывать-закрывать крышку Micro-USB разъема. Правда, частенько такую подставку приходится докупать отдельно — док-станция чаще всего не входит в комплектацию устройства. К тому же, для каждой модели они разные, поэтому взаимозаменяемости здесь нет и не будет.
И в третьих, стоит отметить имеющуюся здесь отдельно выделенную аппаратную клавишу управления камерой: хорошее подспорье любителям снимать под водой, ибо там съемку прикосновением пальцев к экрану осуществить невозможно. Заметная круглая металлическая блямба кнопки питания, расположенная выше клавиши громкости, стала уже визитной карточкой последнего поколения мобильных устройств японцев.
Что же касается передней и задней панелей, то они, как уже говорилось выше, выполнены из стекла, но сверху традиционно покрыты защитной пленкой, наклеенной заводским способом. Пленка эта не предполагает быть снятой: по крайней мере, можно лишиться переднего логотипа Sony, если решиться на такой шаг. Задняя поверхность ничем особенно не примечательна, помимо, собственно, своей стеклянной сущности. Здесь в углу скромно спрятались лишь окошки камеры и вспышки — все остальное, в том числе и решетка динамика, отсюда переехали на боковые грани.
На передней панели все еще более привычно: окошко фронтальной камеры и глазки сенсоров спрятаны под стеклом в верхней части над экраном, а вот снизу здесь совсем пусто. Странно, кстати, что сюда не врезали тот симпатичный вытянутый вдоль световой индикатор событий, который мы видели в предыдущих моделях серии Xperia Z. То ли в наших руках побывал не серийный образец, то ли так и было задумано разработчиками, но именно здесь световой индикатор спрятался в районе решетки слухового динамика, а вовсе не в нижней части. Светит индикатор совсем не ярко, а наоборот, испускает глухой, еле заметный оранжевый свет, и выглядит все это достаточно странно.
И в заключение, хотелось бы отметить, как обычно, выбор цветовых вариантов окраса корпуса Sony Xperia Z1. Откровений здесь нет: как и у предшественников, корпус новинки представлен в трех цветовых исполнениях: черном, белом и фиолетовым. Любопытно, что металлические боковые грани здесь выкрашены в общий цвет корпуса, то есть, если корпус фиолетовый, то и грани тоже фиолетовые. Кстати, на презентации один из докладчиков отдельно заметил, что фиолетовый вариант предыдущего Xperia Z очень даже пришелся по вкусу пользователям, поэтому ему дали путевку в жизнь и в дальнейшем. О столь необычном выборе цвета докладчик рассказал, что этот цвет выбран был вовсе «не с потолка». По словам специалистов, здесь есть психологическая подеплека: такой цвет является как бы «уравновешенным», то есть, он получается путем «смешивания» возбуждающего красного и холодного синего оттенков.
О защищенности
Согласно требованиям стандартов IP55 и IP58, Sony Xperia Z1 защищен от попадания внутрь влаги и пыли. Если все порты и крышки надежно закрыты, этот смартфон защищен от воздействия струй воды под низким давлением со всех сторон в соответствии со стандартом IP55 и/или может до 30 минут находиться на глубине 1,5 метра в пресной воде в соответствии со стандартом IP58.
По итогам нашего тестирования подтвердилось, что смартфон не только непроницаем для воды, но и прекрасно управляется мокрыми пальцами — до тех пор, пока экран не погрузится полностью в воду. Плюс ко всему, из-за наличия выделенной аппаратной клавиши управления камерой смартфоном можно пользоваться в качестве фотоаппарата для съемки под водой.
Комплектация
Смартфон Sony Xperia Z1 поставляется на полки магазинов в достаточно простой по виду упаковке из тонкого нелакированного картона с несколькими отделениями внутри. Изначальный комплект не богат: мощное зарядное устройство (1,5 А), соединительный кабель и немного макулатуры. Кстати, данный смартфон, как и другие топовые предшественники Sony, поддерживает так называемую «быструю» зарядку, когда буквально за полчаса, проведенных у розетки, телефон заряжается настолько, что способен после этого продержаться целый час в режиме разговора.
А вот за дополнительные деньги к новой модели предлагается такое количество аксессуаров, что им даже был посвящен отдельный буклет. Помимо стандартных док-станции, bluetooth-гарнитуры, портативного блока питания, беспроводной колонки и даже штатива, там также имеется и несколько более любопытных вещичек. Например, к смартфону можно приобрести дополнительный пластиковый чехол с хитроумным крепежем для еще более непривычной детали — камеры . Это устройство представляет собой отдельно работающую (не связанную с линзами самого смартфона) фотокамеру, которая, тем не менее, может работать в связке с программным обеспечением аппарата, соединяясь с ним по беспроводной сети. Любопытное устройство требует, очевидно, отдельного тестирования, но к нам в руки оно пока не попало. Вот так все это выглядит вживую в полной сборке: на сам смартфон сзади надевается твердая пластиковая обложка, а к ней уже, в свою очередь, крепится камера.
Экран
Sony Xperia Z1 оснащен HD-экраном с фирменным названием Triluminos. В цифрах физические параметры экрана смартфона таковы: размеры — 61×110 мм, диагональ — 127 мм (5 дюймов), разрешение — Full HD 1080p (1920×1080 точек), плотность пикселей составляет 440 ppi.
Яркость дисплея имеет как ручную, так и автоматическую регулировку, последняя основывается на работе датчика освещения. Технология мультитач позволяет одновременно обрабатывать до десяти прикосновений, что подтверждается тестами. Имеется и датчик приближения, который блокирует экран при поднесении смартфона к уху. Картинка дополнительно обрабатывается с помощью программной технологии улучшения изображения под названием Sony X-Reality. Подобная технология X-Reality Pro используется сейчас и в современных телевизорах японской компании. При производстве самого дисплея использовалась также технология OptiContrast, исключающая воздушную прослойку между стеклами.

Подробную экспертизу с использованием измерительных приборов провел редактор разделов «Мониторы » и «Проекторы и ТВ » Алексей Кудрявцев. Приводим его экспертное мнение об экране.
Экран смартфона прикрыт стеклянной пластиной, на которую фабричным способом наклеена пластиковая зеркально-гладкая защитная пленка, относительно устойчивая к появлению царапин, но все же менее твердая, чем неорганическое стекло. В итоге через некоторое время эксплуатации экран обязательно покрывается царапинами. Впрочем, при некотором старании эту пленку можно отделить и заменить на новую, совместимую. Фабричная защитная пленка обладает достаточно выраженными олеофобными (жироотталкивающими) свойствами, поэтому следы от пальцев удаляются легче, а появляются с меньшей скоростью, чем в случае обычного стекла. Судя по уменьшению яркости отраженных объектов, антибликовый фильтр присутствует, и его эффективность высокая. При этом двоение (видимо, в основном из-за пленки) этих объектов выражено слабо, что свидетельствует об отсутствии воздушного промежутка между внешним стеклом и ЖК-матрицей.
При ручном управлении яркостью ее максимальное значение составило 460 кд/м², минимальное — 34 кд/м². В итоге на максимальной яркости при ярком дневном свете смартфоном можно будет пользоваться без особых неудобств, а минимальная яркость позволит с комфортом работать с этим мобильным устройством даже в полной темноте. Есть автоматическая регулировка яркости по датчику освещенности (он расположен слева от логотипа на фронтальной панели), работа этой функции зависит от положения ползунка регулировки яркости. Если он выставлен на 100%, то в полной темноте функция автоматической подстройки яркости уменьшает яркость до 97 кд/м² (не чрезмерно ярко, но можно было и пониже), в условиях освещенного искусственным светом офиса яркость повышается до 245 кд/м² (приемлемо), в очень ярком окружении устанавливается на 460 кд/м² (это максимум, чего и следовало ожидать). Если ползунок яркости выставлен на 50%, значения следующие: 61, 170 и 460 кд/м²; на 0% — 19, 76 и 460 кд/м². В целом работа функции автоматической подстройки яркости не вызывает никаких претензий, все идеально. На пониженной яркости значимой модуляции подсветки нет (в пределах до 100 кГц включительно), поэтому мерцание экрана отсутствует.
В технических характеристиках компания Sony, как и многие другие производители, указывает, что применяется матрица типа TFT, не уточняя ее конкретный тип. Возможно, в данном смартфоне установлена матрица типа ASV. Так выглядят пиксели экрана при выводе белого цвета и оттенков серого цвета в порядке уменьшения светлоты оттенка:

Можно заметить, что по мере уменьшения яркости оттенка темное пятно в центре каждого субпикселя увеличивается, что предполагает поворот ЖК к центру субпикселя, а не в горизонтальной плоскости, как в случае IPS, или в вертикальной плоскости, как в случае *VA. По всем внешним признакам экран этого смартфона очень похож на экран Sony Xperia Z . Экран имеет хорошие углы обзора, по крайней мере без значительного сдвига цветов. Однако при отклонении взгляда от перпендикуляра к экрану цвета заметно высветляются, картинка становится белесой, а при очень больших углах отклонения самые светлые оттенки инвертируются. Черное поле при отклонении по диагонали также сильно высветляется, но остается близким к нейтрально серому цвету. При строго перпендикулярном взгляде равномерность черного поля очень хорошая. Время отклика при переходе черный-белый-черный равно 10 мс (5,5 мс вкл. + 4,5 мс выкл.). Переход между полутонами серого цвета 25% и 75% (по численному значению цвета) и обратно в сумме занимает 24 мс. Контрастность не очень высокая — порядка 600:1. Построенная по 32 точкам гамма-кривая не выявила завала ни в светах, ни в тенях, а показатель аппроксимирующей степенной функции равен 1,90, что ниже стандартного значения в 2,2, при этом реальная гамма-кривая немного отклоняется от степенной зависимости:
Цветовой охват чуть-чуть шире sRGB. Отметим, что насыщенность цветов умеренная, визуально цвета чуть более яркие, но еще не настолько перенасыщенные, чтобы цветные изображения казались искаженными.
Видимо, компоненты хорошо разделены, и спектры это подтверждают:
Цветовой баланс неидеальный, так как отклонение от спектра абсолютно черного тела (дельта Е) не очень велико, но цветовая температура и дельта Е заметно меняются от оттенка к оттенку на шкале серого, что отрицательно сказывается на визуальной оценке цветового баланса. (Темные области шкалы серого можно не учитывать, так как там баланс цветов не имеет большого значения, да и погрешность измерений цветовых характеристик на низкой яркости большая.)
Экран яркий, с адекватно работающей автоматической подстройкой яркости, цвета сочные, но картинка сильно высветляется при отклонении взгляда от перпендикуляра к экрану. Впрочем, будет ли этот недостаток оказывать большое влияние на потребительские свойства, зависит, скорее, от особенностей субъективного восприятия самого потребителя.
Звук
В звуковом плане смартфон точно такой же, как и его защищенные предшественники Xperia Z и Z Ultra. Звучат оба динамика не слишком громко, особенно внешний. Очевидно, сказывается общее специфическое внутреннее обустройство, организованное с целью защиты от попадания влаги. Динамик дополнительно прикрывается специальной защитной мембраной, не пропускающей воду, поэтому звук у таких аппаратов более глухой и тихий. В слуховом динамике особенных искажений не наблюдается, голос знакомого собеседника, интонации и тембр хорошо узнаваемы, но все равно звучит он глуховато. Решетка внешнего динамика расположена не сзади, а сбоку — врезана прямо в нижний торец. Соответственно, звук не будет перекрываться поверхностью, когда телефон лежит на столе.
В программном плане звуковая подсистема Sony Xperia Z1 обустроена так же, как и у любого другого современного смартфона Sony. Штатный аудиоплеер, называемый по традиции Walkman, богат на настройки и дополнительные программные улучшения звука, такие как встроенный эквалайзер с массой предустановленных значений (можно задать и свои), технологии Clear Phase, xLoud или виртуальное объемное звучание. Управление большинством настроек доступно в том случае, если комплексная функция ClearAudio+ выключена, иначе все настройки отдаются на откуп автомату. При задействовании, кстати, комплексного пакета улучшений ClearAudio+, звук внешнего динамика становится заметно громче, но все равно ему не достает той громкости и чистоты, которые есть, скажем, у динамиков HTC One.

Камера
Sony Xperia Z1 оснащен, как и большинство современных смартфонов, двумя модулями цифровых камер. Фронтальная камера здесь оборудована 2-мегапиксельным модулем, снимает с разрешением 1920×1080, о качестве получаемых фотографий можно судить по приведенному ниже тестовому снимку.
Основная, тыловая 20,7-мегапиксельная камера оснащена объективом серии G с фокусным расстоянием 27 мм и диафрагмой F/2,0. В камере используется датчик «Exmor RS for mobile» формата 1/2,3 дюйма и процессор «Bionz for mobile».
По умолчанию камеры всех аппаратов Sony стандартно работают в так называемом суперавторежиме (iauto) с широкоформатным соотношением сторон. Разрешение снимков в автоматическом режиме у камеры Sony Xperia Z1 менять нельзя, оно здесь только одно и составляет приблизительно 8 Мп (3840×2160). Примеры фотографий, снятых в автоматическом режиме «из коробки», с комментариями по качеству — ниже.

Максимального разрешения, с которым может снимать камера Sony Xperia Z1, можно добиться, переключив режим с автоматического на ручной.
